Regional
Electricity Companies |
The Government has announced that it will sell its participations
in several Regional Electricity Companies in Colombia
in the following Departments:
Cundinamarca
Boyacá
Meta
Santander (including North)
Tolima*
The Government has recently retained the local investment
bank, Inverlink, for the structuring of the sale of the
first four companies. The first of these companies to
be put to sale will be The Empresa de Energía
de Cundinamarca (“EEC”)
EEC only has electricity distribution and commercialization
(no generation), with 192,000 clients in five districts
surrounding the Capital City of Bogotá: Girardot,
Facatativá, Villeta, Fusagasugá and Distrito
Oriente (Cáqueza y Gachetá).
