USD$ 212 million loan granted to ISAGEN S.A. E.S.P. by a special purpose off-shore vehicle (Power Finance Trust Limited), guaranteed by the Republic of colombia and Insured by OPIC; USD$38 million loan agreement granted to Isagen S.A. E.S.P. by Citibank. ISAGEN S.A. E.S.P. used the proceeds of the loans to prepay indebtness with Financiera Energética Nacional.
It has been the first transaction in South America insured by OPIC with a AAA credit rating. First transaction in Colombia in which the lender is a special purpose vehicle.
