Juan Pablo Barrera is an associate attorney with the Firm. He practices primarily in the area of commercial law, with particular focus on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, contract law, and foreign exchange regulations. He currently advises several Colombian and international clients on such matters, and particularly on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, negotiation of different types of contracts, and foreign exchange matters, among others.
Prior to entering the Firm, Mr. Barrera worked as a senior attorney at Andersen Legal, as an attorney for the Office of the Legal Vice President of Valores Bavaria S.A. (Valorem S.A.), and as legal manager at Ernst & Young. He has lectured at conferences for several clients, and has been a professor of corporate and contract law at Universidad ICESI inCali Colombia.
