Natalia Aristizábal is an associate at Prieto & Carrizosa and participates in the Firm's tax practice. Ms. Aristizábal has worked on several national and international tax planning projects involving individuals and companies engaged in the food, tobacco, agro-industrial, and industrial sectors. She has also been involved in a number of tax litigation cases and has experience in administrative law. Ms. Aristizábal has been a Professor of the US Tax System, Comparative Tax Systems and Tax Law in Universidad Externado de Colombia's Postgraduate Program in International Taxation (2007), Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana's Postgraduate Program in Tax Law (2005, 2006), Universidad Javeriana's Postgraduate Program in Tax Law (2005, 2006) and Universidad del Rosario's Program on Administrative Contracts (2000-2001) and its Postgraduate Program in Tax Law (2003-2004).

She has lectured on international aspects of U.S. taxation for the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá (2005) and for the Tax Law Committee of the National Industrial Association (Asociación Nacional de Industriales, ANDI) (2005). She also lectured on turnover taxes for the XXX Colombian Conference on Tax Law (Jornadas Colombianas de Derecho Tributario) organized by the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (Instituto Colombiano de Derecho Tributario, ICDT) (2006).

Ms. Aristizábal is currently a member of the Colombian Institute of Tax Law, and of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).   In 2006, the Colombian Institute of Tax Law published her work "LA ACTIVIDAD COMERCIAL EN EL IMPUESTO DE INDUSTRIA Y COMERCIO Y AVISOS, SOBRE INTERESES, DIVIDENDOS Y ARRENDAMIENTOS" which she presented at the XXX Conference on Colombian Tax Law. In addition, Ms Aristizábal worked as Assistant Researcher for Professor Richard Bird (Professor at the Joseph L. Rottman School of Management, the University of Toronto and Visiting Professor at Harvard Law School), preparing the Report on Colombian Real Estate Property Taxes, which was included in the Special Report prepared for the World Bank (Fall, 2001).
